Just got back from Hawaii. Tried a fabulous new joint. Thought you all might
find this of interest if you were heading to the islands any time soon...
Gourmet Pacific Rim Plate Lunches at Affordable Prices
OnJin's Cafe offers both a creative dinner and lunch menu serving Pacific
Rim cuisine fused with a hint of French influence. The gourmet lunch plates
such as the Fresh Misoyaki Atlantic Salmon Steak and the Crispy Snapper
drizzled with Lemon Caper Buerre Blanc Sauce will bring joy to any palate.
However, the Tira Misu for dessert is nothing to write home about. The
dinner menu offers more variety however, the prices are tripled that of
lunch. The atmosphere is calm and classy furnished with granite tabletops
and freshly cut flowers. The service is friendly and fast however, the
owner, Chef OnJin Kim may have her days. If you are planning on having
dinner even as early as at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening without
reservations, be prepared to be either turned away or seated in the patio
while the restaurant still remains at least half empty by the time you leave
at 7 p.m. |
