Olica in NYC, to the best of my knowledge, is the only place in NYC to get
truly authentic Tarte Flambe! It is wonderful, and reasonably priced. It is
truly as good as in Alsace, and the City of Colmar.
I have recently discovered a very inexpensive South African Cabernet. It is
the 2001 Excelsior. it can be bought for about $10/ bottle, can be drunk
iimmediately, and has rich deep blackberry and cherry flavor. It could
easily have fooled me at two or three times the price.
