1841-1841 William H. Harrison Vice President John Tyler. William Harrison's Inaugural Address.
As governor of the Indiana Territory (1800 - 12) he led the troops to victory at the battle of Tippecanoe (1811) against the Shawnee Indians and settled the territory's claims to 4,680 square miles of Indian land. He died a month after inauguration from pneunomia.
